Supplemental Ketones to the Rescue

by | Dec 28, 2015

Earlier this year I read the account of a Dr. Terry Wahl who recovered from Progressive Multiple Sclerosis through diet. She documented her amazing story and the specifics of the diet in The Wahl Protocol.

The good news is that it’s possible to do the medically impossible. The challenge is to be able to adhere to the dietary restrictions that offer such benefit.

For those of you who have attempted a Paleo or Ketogenic diet, you know how difficult it can be to adhere to and sustain a very strict dietary approach. Fortunately, help is now available.

Both the Paleo and Ketogenic diets have been shown to favorably influence inflammatory illness … including neuroinflammatory issues like Alzheimer’s and MS … while also supporting athletic performance, cognitive function, weight loss, and even epilepsy.

One of the values of strict dietary control is that the body begins to produce and burn ketones, rather than blood sugar, for fuel. Ketones are the fuel derived from the breakdown of fat. This change in fuel source helps to confer the benefits mentioned earlier as well as giving your sugar metabolism a much needed healing rest.

Nutritional Ketone Breakthrough

Research conducted at the University of South Florida has resulted in the first nutritional ketone product. Within an hour of consuming this product, ketones can be measured in both your blood and urine. This gives you the benefits of utilizing ketones for fueling your brain and body even though you haven’t as yet mastered the diet.

Supplementing with ketones allows you to benefit while you go about the process of dietary and lifestyle change at your own pace.
